From history: The retirement home is located in a listed building arch. Otakar Novotný, pupil of Jan Kotěra. The building dates from 1926. It is also referred to as Sehnoutk's house.
According to the notary's file, transaction number 5463, the spouses Rudolf Steinský-Sehnoutka and Jaroslava Steinská-Sehnoutková were library owners of house no. 84 in Černožice with building plot no. cat. 111 and rolls no. cat. 547/3 there.'
This house was originally used as a "Cozy factory workers' house" (until 1930).
During his severe illness, Mr. Steinský, a factory worker, made a promise that if he recovered, he would donate the house in Černožice to charity.
